Piper methysticum is more commonly known as Kava, but also Kava-Kava, Ava Pepper, Kava Root, and Kawa. The plant is native to the islands of the South Pacific and is a member of the pepper family. Kava has been used in ceremonies by the people of the Pacific Islands to bring about a state of relaxation. This is why its scientific name, Piper methysticum means “intoxicating pepper.”
Kava-6® is manufactured using Bio-Botanica’s proprietary Bio-Chelated® cold extraction process to maintain the plants active constituents, in the ratios found in nature, or as we call it, the plant’s Holistic Balance®.
